Every little detail of our actions speaks volume of who we are. The more care and effort we put into something, the more thoughtful and put together we appear. As photographers, we have to send out a lot of Flash Drives with client images. Having a customized flash drive adds that extra special Oomph.
My welcome packages are fully customized to represent my brand, my passion for photography and the things I stand for. I’ve always been into style, textures and design, and I implement all three elements into my packages. In particular, I love having stylish and branded USB Flash Drives when sending out the digital images to clients. Here is a look at my Wooden Flash Drives available for my portrait and engagement clients. I change my styling from season to season and love the process of designing my packages.
Most of my sessions are done out in nature. I love beautiful natural backdrops for my sessions. I’m currently using colourful dried moss as a bed for my drives which adds to the organic feel of the wooden drive. Topped with a green bow and some branded collateral, it is a fun way to deliver a digital flash drive. Going the extra mile always pays off.
Amanda and Christopher will always have a special place in my heart. I meet them as a recently engaged couple during their engagement session in Winter Park a few years back. We laughed and giggled the entire shoot and shared some deep conversations as well.
We also had the honor of photographing their wedding a year later. It would be the last wedding my Husband and I photographed together before he passed away from cancer just a few months later.
He was so sick at the time but made a decision to be a part of capturing their wedding day no matter what. Some clients ask me what will happen if I’m unable to photograph their wedding (which is an important question) – and I’m proud to say that I have never missed a wedding- ever. I photographed a wedding 3 days after my husband passed away. Most people would see this am unbearable task- but I had made a decision that as long as I have two legs and two arms- I will be there.
Just like I had been there for Amanda and Christopher documenting some of their most important moments of their lives, they had been there for me while going through some of my hardest moments of my life.
I was so happy to find out that Amanda and Christopher were blessed with TWINS. Our reunion was a heartwarming one during our maternity session at Cypress Grove Estate Park. We laughed and caught up just like old friends. The most amazing things is that Amanda gave birth just a couple of days after our session! These images are super special to me!
Over the past few years living in Orlando, I’ve had my shares of less then stellar engagement locations, usually due in part to client request such as proposal locations or locations that have sentimental value to my clients. In my earlier years as a photographer, I only said yes and yes to any and all requests, not factoring in the lighting scenario or if there is a distracting background. I learned throughout the year that being flexible yet informative goes hand in hand, after all- I am the professional and my clients are putting their trust in me.
I try to inform my clients on the best possible options.
After my runs with bad locations, I’m not shy to recommend locations that have been tested and proven amazing. At least, this way I give my clients options that they might otherwise not have known about. I’m all for sentimental locations too, because at the end of the day, these are my clients special images.
The following are some of my top locations for engagement Sessions in Orlando!
Park ave is a gorgeous boutique style shopping strip / ave filled with mom and pop shops and decorated hallways. It’s unique charm makes this a gem in Orlando for engagement sessions. You will also find a beautiful rose garden there, along with CasaFeliz which is a gorgeous Spanish style restored farmhouse. I love shooting there for it’s diversity in backdrops, colorful walkways, and the perfect mix of urban and nature.
If the client is more inclined to Nature/ woodsy images, then Kraft Azalea Park is gold. I mean, the golden hour sunshine graces beautifully there! The large cypress trees look dreamy as well with its heavy Spanish moss. I highly recommend shooting in the early morning there since it is a pretty popular engagement location and to avoid the crowds.
This location is not just for Disney Fans! In fact, you won’t find much about Disney at this location. What you will find is endless backdrops, a stunning lighthouse, and a man made beach which looks great in pictures. I highly recommend sunset shoots for this location and preferably on a weekday (less crowds)
I have photographed engagements at the above locations too many times to count, and I always find something fresh and new each time.
Cypress Grove Estate house is a great location for those who are more shy in front of people and want more privacy during their session. This location offers plush greenery, mature trees, and is located next to a gorgeous lake. This location is also perfect for family sessions, maternity shoots and any outdoor portraits.
In addition, I also recommend the following locations:
Bobby and Ashley’s Disney’s Boardwalk Engagement Photography
This picture is my favorite engagement photo from Disney’s Boardwalk. I Love how the light on the pier are reflected in the calm water.
We had such an amazing time photographing Ashley and Bobby’s Engagement Session at Disney’s Boardwalk last week. We recently took a personal creative challenge to reinvent locations that we have photographed multiple times. It is easy to go to the same spots with your client which you know for sure looks great in pictures, or the “Safe” spots you can say. I wanted to create art, not just regular engagement pictures. As business people, full time photographers such as myself can sometime forget why we fell in love with photography in the first place as we deal with the day-to-day admin duties.. I fell in love with the freedom to express my soul through the camera.
We also started the session 30 minutes before sundown, is opposed to one hour before sundown. With very little lighting, and decent walk around the boardwalk, We started the session at the boardwalks and made our way to the Yatch Hotel and a full circle back to the starting point. I mean, look at this lighting! It was such a perfect evening.
It was a pretty cold day, can you tell? I can’t! 🙂 I’m so proud with how these images came out. I will try to be more daring from now on!
We would like to congratulate Bobby and Ashley on their engagement!
Caught these birds flying by! Total luck for this picture.
