Carolyn and Phil’s Bok Tower Gardens Engagement Session
Carolyn and Phil's Bok Tower Gardens Engagement Session
Bok tower garden is such a beautiful location for engagement and portrait sessions. I was thrilled when Carolyn and Phil decided to have our session there last week. Bok Tower Gardens is centrally located between Tampa and Orlando among rolling hills of citrus in beautiful & historic Lake Wales, Florida and is a National Historic Landmark. The gardens are filled with exotic greenery, water features, and unique architecture.

Carolyn and Phil are the sweetest people that you will ever meet. They are truly best friends and I wanted to capture their love story and friendship authentically. We are having an unusually warm winter this year here in Florida. I’m pretty sure that all of the plants are confused as to what season it is because it is starting to look a lot like spring. Flowers are in bloom everywhere. We used this fact to our advantage and got to photograph with some beautiful floral backgrounds.

There is an orange farm right before the main entrance of Bok Tower Gardens that is just beautiful. Across the street from the orange farm are fields of grass and pine trees. We ended our shoot there for some sunset pictures and used some creative lighting techniques to create an ethereal effect. I just love how these images came out and loved that I got to work with such a beautiful couple!

Samantha and Austin’s Downtown Church Street Engagement Photography

Orlando Engagement Photographers

Church Street in Downtown Orlando has always been a bit of a tricky place to photograph due to the endless crowds dining at the many restaurants there or just passing through. It is often considered as the heart of downtown orlando.
However when I heard that Samantha and Austin’s wedding theme was a 1920’s look, I knew that the historic architecture that makes downtown Church street so special would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement pictures. The area is deeply rooted in Orlando’s history and was developed around the City’s original train station. The Old Orlando Railroad Depot, dedicated in January of 1890 is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a local historic landmark.
Our engagement session started right at sunset. The lighting was lovely and added that golden glow and light flares to the pictures. My assistant Luis helped tow around my lighting as we jumped on over to photograph outside the Ballroom at Church Street; a potential venue for the couples upcoming wedding.

The funny thing is, I was editing these pictures while watching “Singing in the Rain”. How befitting!
Hope you enjoy their sneak peek.

Disney’s Caribbean Resort Portrait session

I always feel extra special when my clients asks me to photograph them again and again. This year has been a blessing with repeat clients and Nicole and Richards are one of those clients. I had the pleasure of shooting their Disney’s Caribbean Resort Portrait session last week.

I photographed their engagement earlier this year at Disney’s Spring, and had the pleasure of photographing them during their honeymoon as well! The beautiful high school sweet hearts tied the knot on a Carnival cruise last week in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. By coincidence, my mother and I was on vacation on The Royal Caribbean cruise that same week and saw their ship while docked in Mexico! Both of them really convinced me to try cruising when I photographed their engagement. They Spent a few days at the Disney’s Caribbean Resort and I was there to photograph such a special time in their lives.

This was the first time i’ve beet at the resort, and was amazing with how large the resort is. Two of my favorite moments from this session was when a older gentleman gave us access to take some pictures on the dock and even allowed us to go on a boat docked there for some pictures. Another one was when they took their shoes off to sit by the Jacuzzi for some pictures. There was a guy sitting close by in the Jacuzzi the entire time so I had to ninja my way around him 🙂

There are tons of places to walk around and photograph in. I want to congratulate the happy couple on finding their soul mates!

Fulton’s Crab House Intimate Wedding Photography

Intimate Wedding Photography at Fulton's Crab House

We always enjoy photographing intimate weddings. The simplicity, the personal connections, the guests being filtered from casual friends and co-workers to the best of the best. Family. These are some of the joys that makes intimate weddings soo special.

We had the honor of capturing Brianna and Franks wedding held at the gorgeous Fulton’s Crabhouse earlier this month. Their wedding was the last wedding held at this location before the restaurant undergoes some major renovations. It was pouring rain all the way up until 20 minutes before the ceremony started. Everyone joked that prayers do work! Obviously they do, how else can two soul mates find each other in the vast ocean of this world. The beautiful couple have been together for over 10 years!
This was a destination wedding, and the majority of family and friends flew all the way from Texas to celebrate.
Here is a quick sneak peek
