The wedding season is here along with slowly increasing cooler weather. I have a ton of engagement sessions scheduled along with a handful of proposals over the holidays.
Wedding photography is becoming more and more circulated thanks to image driving social media. Wedding and engagement photography inspirations can be pulled up using Wedding Hashtags on Instagram or on Pinterest. Social media is such an integral part of everyone’s lives now and is how many of my couples discover my work!
That brings me to Sonal and Nirav, who reached out to me after discovering my work online.
Let me just tell you- it was Love at first site. We scheduled a meeting at a chic cafe in Winter Park to chat about her vision. We ended up speaking about our lives, laughing, sharing our love for travels and snapping pictures of our latte’s (she totally gets me!). Fast forward to our scheduled session and I felt like I was photographing old friends. We started the session at Kraft Azalea Garden early in the morning to catch the sunrise and then headed to Rollins College to photograph around the campus. The session continued the next day at one of my favorite locations- Disney’s Boardwalk and we caught a beautiful sunset!
They scheduled two engagement sessions back to back to get a wide variety of images and to fit in more outfit changes. It was TOTALLY worth it!
These images will be displayed at their Wedding this December in India!
Corporate event reception at World Center Marriott Hotel
I had the pleasure of photographing a super fun corporate event reception at World Center Marriott Hotel earlier last week. Themed events are getting more and more popular for corporate event parties. They are fun always, playful and transport the attendees to a quick getaway. From Hawaii themed events to Miami Vice, You name it and I have probably photographed such a themed party. There is something exciting about getting to dress up and be a kid after attending an intense conference, often accompanied by attending classing from dawn to dusk.
The team at Imprint group, an Orlando based event company are experts at creating such events! I had a blast capturing their creation during a corporate sendoff party at World Center Marriott Hotel. The Gatsby-themed event was a colorful array of dressed up attendees, themed entertainers and Casino stations.
The tables were decorated with flowers, feathered shawls and other time appropriate decor.
My favorite part of the event was photographing a beautiful dance performance where the dancers incorporated large feather fans into their performance. I always pinch myself sometimes when I think of how grateful I am to capture so much fun for a living!
Conference photography for Facebook, WhatsApp and Isntagram
When I meet the creative director behind the social media station at this years grace Hoper event, The first thing that came out of my mouth is that I’m a huge social media fan. I was there to photograph the Conference photography for Facebook, WhatsApp and Isntagram. Social media is such an important part of any successful business. Social Media has brougt so many amazing people into my world and allowed my business to grow in a way I never knew it could!
I was in awe getting to work with the staff from the facebook brand. The Grace Hopper Celebration is the world’s largest gathering of women technologists. Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram were there to find some of the top graduates to hire into the family. It was inspiering to hear from young scientists, programers and social media expert as they shared their journey to sucess in a mostly male dominant workforce.
I love events that empowes others and I always learn so much listening in on the speakers. Even better is when the clients love the images! Here is a sneak peek from this years event
Tis the season for Photographing Corporate Christmas Parties!
I find myself photographing company christmas parties every week. Most company parties take off starting December 1st leading up to until christmas.
I love seeing companies showing their appreciation to their staff members through raffles, endless food and lots of award ceremonies. This weekend I photographed at a venue called The Abbey, which is located just one block away from Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. The venue has a old movie theater with a movie theater entrance greetings its guests.
Along with event photography, we also had step and repeat photo booth using a white backdrop and my new Profoto lights!
