Chaitanya and Poonam’s Indian Wedding Photography in Atlanta ISKCON

Untitled_0429

I had the honor of photographing Chaitanya and Poonam’s Indian (Vedic) wedding Photography last month in Atlanta ISKCON Temple. Photographing Vedic weddings are my favorite thing to do! They are always saturated with devotion, faith, family and friendship. Indian weddings are a feast for the eyes and soul (and stomach :). The beautiful couple tied the knot (literally) at the ISKCON Temple of Atlanta. They had a mandalp built just outside the temple guest house and was surrounded by mature trees and decorated with colorful Yellow, Pink, Fuchsia and Orange flowers along with religious paraphernalia. They brought their family deities along for the wedding all the way from NJ. Their home deities had a major role in the wedding functions which made the wedding even more special.
The reception took place in a large clear tent and decorated with a vintage twist.
We sneaked off to downtown Atlanta for some elegant formals, which was totally worth it!
Funny moment: The park we initially decided to take formals in was apparently booked for a 420 festival! we decided to walk around and found some even better spots to capture pictures.
I also had the honor of having Christopher from Chris Helm Photography as my second shooter.
I’m beyond excited to share this sneak peek!

Megan and Ben’s Wedding Anniversary session at Kraft Azalea Gardens

Wedding Anniversary session at Kraft Azalea Gardens

I had the honor of photographing Megan and Ben’s one year Wedding anniversary at the gorgeous Kraft Azalea Gardens earlier this month.

The beautiful couple tied the knot last year at the spanish inspired Bella Collina. With a blanket and picnic basket in hand (which belonged to Megan’s Grandmother) the celebrations ensued with a bottle of Champagne gifted to them on their wedding night. It was a great time to pop the bottle open during such a special time of their lives and was a super cute prop for their engagement photos. They also had a cake made for the occasion, topped with their wedding wedding song “la via en rose“.
It was an unusually warm day for December, and the gorgeous sunset allowed for perfect lighting to shower the entire garden with golden light and light leaks peeking through the many mature cypress trees. This is a park you will need a permit to photograph in, and it took me a little longer to get one this time (there was a really long line!) However it was totally worth the effort! Here are some of their beautiful pictures from our session together.

DC Indian wedding photography for Christy and Scotts wedding

DC Indian wedding photography

It seems that 2016 is a year full of traveling, especially for weddings. I’ve never been keen on flying, in fact, I don’t like it at all, but I push myself constantly, to overcome all fears in my life. I just book flights and deal with my fears later. This goes for my personal trips and professional trips. I am truly blessed to be given the opportunity to travel so much, and I won’t let my fears of flying hold me down. I try to practice this attitude with all aspects of my life!

This April I found myself in both DC and Atlanta, photographing two Indian / Vedic weddings.

In DC, I got to be a part of Christy and Scotts special day, which took place ISKCON of Washington DC, located in Potomac. The wedding was full of love, colors, and family from all walks of life. They held a traditional fire sacrifice (yajna) inside a white tent on the temple property, with the remaining rituals performed inside the temple hall. The tent was then transformed into the reception thanks to the many helping hands of close friends. My favorite part of the day was dodging the rain to go out and feed a cow, which is the closing part of the wedding. This was an important moment for the couple, and was filled with jokes and laughing. Can you tell in the last picture?
I had such a blast being a part of this wedding, and got to see so many familiar faces, since I’m a part of the ISKCON Temple here in Orlando.
Thank you for allowing me to capture you both! here is a quick sneak peek, which is quite overdue!

Joseph and Sahili’s Mystic Dunes Resort Engagement Photography

Mystic Dunes Resort Engagement Photographer

We are always excited to photograph at new Locations throughout Orlando. We love the challenge of trying something new while getting to add another great location to our list of recommendations. So when our client’s Joseph and Sahili decided to do their engagement session at the Mystic Dunes Resort, we were excited, especially after browsing some of the gorgeous images taken there!

Sahili works at the resort and is getting married to her best friend Joseph at the resort in 2017. It is no surprise that she loves this place. The resort is filled with picture perfect locations throughout, including tall grass (something a lot of photographers love since it looks great in pictures) and hilly landscapes. The best part is that it looks GORGEOUS here in the early mornings! The beautiful couple wanted a mixture of romantic and fun pictures for their save the dates. I think these images came out beautifully!
We want to congratulate the happy couple on their engagement!
