Alex and Lucy’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel Wedding Photography
Lucy and Alex’s Wedding was super intimate; the most intimate wedding that I have ever photographed to date with a total of 13 guests (including the couple!). They did not, however, compromise on style and details. Their wedding was classy and equally stunning.
A limo arrived at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel to usher the bride, Lucy, and her family to the ceremony site. The wedding ceremony took place in an Italian style indoor pavilion at the hotel, which was draped with gorgeous blue Gentiana flowers.
Mixed flower arrangements stood tall in clear vases on dinner table that seated the entire wedding party. Conversations, cheers and laughter quickly ensued right after everyone were seated. After all, this wedding was attended by the best of friends and family only.
The sun set right in time for their couple formals, and I was able to shoot with the sun behind the couple by powering my light to the highest power and using high speed sync on my Profoto B1. This technique allows me to capture the clouds in the back by exposing for the sky, while lighting up the couple at the same time.
Some of my Favorite moments from their wedding: Taking pictures of the lovely bride and her stunningly gorgeous dress by the famous spiral staircase at the hotel. Another favorite moment was me climbing inside a rose bush to get the shot of them with the roses in the front. I got a couple of thorns in the making of that image – but it was worth it.
I want to congratulate the beautiful couple on such a beautiful wedding!
Jessica and Craig had an amazingly stylish Wedding this December. The color scheme was black, white and gold and was held at Quantum Leap Winery in downtown Orlando. The classic color combination with a touch of cold added a festive vibe to their wedding decor. Jessica had commented on my Instagram photo of my re-branded logo that her wedding decor matched my logo perfectly. I knew instantly that I would love their wedding decor! I’m a big fan of black and white stripes, and stripes draped the dining tables with curly ribbons, along with tall candles in matte gold wine bottles to match the winery venue.
I photographed their engagement session last year at Kraft Azalea Gardens (one of my favorite locations) and really got to bond and get to know the super sweet and down to earth couple.
Benjamin was the second shooter for this wedding and he did a great job following the guys around, capturing all the fun. Their ceremony took place at the winery as well, with a wall full of wine barrels as their backdrop. They couple decided on a first look, which we arranged at Gilbert McQueen Park, which is located right next to college park. We made it there right before sunset, and the most beautiful and touching first look pictures ensued, with their bridal party looking on lovingly in the back.
We would like to congratulate this amazing couple on their journey as husband and wife! Here is their sneak peek.
