The session stated on Park Ave followed by Casa Feliz and ending at the beautiful Kraft Azalea Garden. Now that “winter has arrived” (It definitely does not feel like winter as of yet), the sun is setting earlier and earlier in the day, which we took advantage of to get some sunset pictures.
Casa Feliz is a beautifully restored Spanish Farmhouse designed by acclaimed architect James Gamble Rogers II. The historic building sits on a manicured golf course amidst lush landscaping in the middle of Winter Park. I love photographing at both Caza feliz and Kraft Azalea Garden because the sun sets beautifully on both locations. That day, the sky cast beautiful shades of yellow and purple due to some passing rain clouds, which made for some gorgeous pictures. At Kraft Azalea Garden, the large cypress tree provide a perfect shaded area, with just enough gaps to leak through the trees as the sun sets.

Haley and Kyle’s Kraft Azalea Garden Engagement Session
There are a few locations in Orlando that I am drawn to photograph my portrait sessions over and over again. These locations seem to change day by day into something new and fresh each time. I guess, photographing multiple times at the same location makes you think a bit more creatively and outside the box. You are forced to try different angles and try something new each time, which is one of the best way’s to get unique and beautiful shots.
Kraft Azalea Garden is one of those locations for me, and photographing Haley and Kyle’s engagement session there was a blast. Kraft Azalea Garden is a 5.22-acre public garden located on the shore of Lake Maitland. This beautiful park is shaded by enormous cypress trees that add to the old Florida charm of the 13-acre property. In addition, the Park is also a bird sanctuary with a wide variety of exotic birds flocking there seasonally. The beautiful couple were really relaxed during the whole engagement session and really went with the flow. They trusted all of our suggestions and I’m glad that they did! They also has some fun suggestions for us as well!
