Syama Kumari and Devarsi’s Vedic / Indian Wedding Photography at the Bhakti Center
We had the honor of photographing Syama Kumari and Devarsi’s Indian / Vedic Wedding Photography at the beautiful Bhakti Center in New York City.
The beautiful couple were joined together in union during the auspicious 49th Anniversary of ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, which was established by HH Srila Prabhupada.
The Bhakti Center is a nonprofit cultural arts center dedicated to sharing the experience of self-transformation through the culture of bhakti, devotional service for the lord.
The couple decided to visit the famous “Hare Krishna” Tree for their formals where Srila Prabhupada used to sit and chant the sacred mantra “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare” Which purifies the heart of all contaminants. Through this mantra which was chanted under this famous tree, Srila Prabhupada established a world wide movement of Love of God.
Kumari and Rupa’s Indian wedding at the Palace of Gold, New Vrindaban
There are some weddings I just don’t have words for. This is one of them! Kumari and Rupa, from NYC, held their Vedic wedding at the Regal Palace of Gold in New Vrindaban, West Virginia this weekend. We got the opportunity to capture all the fun. From their Bombay Flower Garlands, to their leaf plates and fresh coconuts for arriving guests, this wedding was a dream with all of the Sacredness of Krishna being the center, to all the gorgeous decorations (thanks to Gangi and her team at Ganjamtribe) this is definitely on the top of my list of favorite weddings thus far. Here is their sneak peek.
