Samantha and Paul’s NYC Highline Park engagement session
I’m super excited to share the engagement session of our clients Samantha and Paul, which took place in New York City’s Highline Park last week. We met Samantha last year when photographing her brothers New York wedding. The rest is history!
I’ve always wanted to do an engagement shoot at The Highline but since we live in Florida, it is not the easiest thing to accomplish! luckily, Samantha and Paul were open to location suggestions and jumped on the idea of doing their engagement session there. I wanted a mixture of urban city and natural greenery as the style for this shoot, which is hard to accomplish in Manhattan (except for Central Park). I also wanted to avoid all the street signs, endless crowds, cars and commercial signs that you find on street level.
We meet with them both at 7am by the 14th street Highline Park entrance to avoid the crowds.
We immediately saw this beautiful wall mural with Albert Einstein holding a sign saying “all we need is love”. How befitting!
We want to wish them both an amazing life together and I cant wait to share their wedding images. We photographed their wedding just two days after their engagement session!
I love being a photographer! My job is so unique, unpredictable and exciting and everyday is fresh and new. An example of this is getting a call to photograph a private jet for a company called Dallas Jet based in Texas. They flew the jet to their Fort Lauderdale hanger where we got to photograph the plane.
This Jet has been chartered by people such as Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and many other celebrities since the early 80’s.
We just so happen to be avid aviation nerds, and Gaji was THIS close to becoming a pilot before he discovered his passion for photography. He has even flown a plane before at the executive airport in Orlando.
We jumped on the idea, even though it was a bit inconvenient for us due to the long commute and an early flight to New York the next morning. Nonetheless, we had such a blast capturing the Jet and conversing with the pilot who told us of his many adventures as it’s main pilot.
Carolina and Christian’s Magic Kingdom Engagement Session
Capturing Disney engagement shoots is one of my favorite things to do. Funny, considering that I never understood the whole Disney Hype before. However, after my first Disney engagement session I finally understood why couples choose Disney as their engagement shoot locations.
There are endless scenery’s to capture romantic pictures and not all of them revolve around Disney characters. With it’s unique architecture, and perfect landscaping, Disney offers a variety of colorful backdrops.
People tend to be more happy when at Disney, and it really shows through in pictures.
We had the honor of photographing Carolina and Christian’s Disney engagement while vacationing from Peru. Carolina and Christian will be tying the knot in a family oriented wedding in Peru later this year. We would like to congratulate them on their engagement! They really are a perfect match!
Niyati and Palaka’s Brooklyn Family photography session
There is nothing more special then photographing for someone near and dear. This was the case for last weeks family session which took place in Brooklyn New York. I (Denisse) pretty much grew up in brooklyn. I lived in New York from the age of 14 until I was 26. I meet Niyati several years ago at the temple which i attended there. We shared several special outings together and a ton of mutual friends (I mean like 50 or more) and I got to witness her and her husband Palaka’s love unfold into such a beautiful family.
Niyati gave birth to twins just 4 months ago and we had the honor of capturing this joyous time in their lives. Accompanied by Niyatis mother and father, we headed to Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park for the first segment of the shoot and got to take some beautiful shots along some of Brooklyn’s famous brownstones.
We would like to congratulate them both on their expanding family! here is their sneak peek 🙂
