Wedding of Amanda and Jason at the Powel Crosley Estate Mansion | Lotus Eyes Photography
I am beyond excited to blog about this Gorgeous wedding of Amanda and Jason. The wedding was held at the Powel Crosley Estate Mansion in Anna Maria Island, Florida. Lotus Eyes Photography felt so honored to capture Amanda and Jason’s special day as they eloped in front of family and friends. It was a day to celebrate the coming together of two families in a grand way. The years of planning really paid off. The detailed and organized schedule made for a smooth and perfect day. The theme for the wedding was black and white with a pinch of peacock. The wedding was timeless and elegant yet very down to earth and relaxed.
Powel Crosley Estate Mansion- a perfect retreat for weddings
The Powel Crosley Estate is a Mediterranean Revival-style mansion built in 1929. The mansion is such a beautiful place to get married! The Mansion was decorated with industrial lanterns and soft flickering candles lit up the romantically dimmed interior. The details were clean, modern and timeless. The wedding was held in the backyard overlooking the clear blue water that Anna Maria Island is so famous for.
We want to wish the both of them the best of luck. It is obvious that they found their perfect match in each other.

I’ve heard it’s said that there’s nothing like southern hospitality. I was so excited when Jess called me, she told me about her and Tim’s plans to have a rustic farm wedding here in Florida and I was thrilled to find out about their beautiful plans! Jess and Tim, both live in Dade City, Florida and always have had love for the southern style. Jess dreamed of a gorgeous outdoor wedding and knew exactly the place she wanted to have their southern soiree, at Lange farm There were horses, white railed fences, and 100 year old oak trees.
From the moment we met Jess and Tim they treated us like old friends and whether you live in the South, North, East or West, that’s a good feeling. The smiles, laughs, hugs, looks, all came with such ease and so naturally.

Having a wedding album is a must (considering how much you invested in having your pictures taken in the first place).
Although our 8-12 Hour packages includes our standard wedding album ($280 Value) we know that not everyone booked us for this package. We are offering our standard album (10 x 8) for the same price of $280. Some Brides order multiple albums for family members as they make for great presents!
We have seen other businesses sell the same album for over $500!
A wedding album is a family heirloom that you will pass on to your kids and so on. Keep in mind that you can only get these high standard wedding albums from wedding professionals as you have to be a registered photography business to order them. I have always been a Lighroom fan and find myself going through old photographs to edit and modernize them. Considering all of the editing techniques available today and wide variety of Lightroom features ( Check Youtube for some great tools for Lightroom 4 and 5) I’m in favor of adding some sass to my pictures to make them more dynamic and creative. As we all know, Photography is not just photography, it is an art. I remember when i first met Gaji, my husband and when i got into photography. We would each take a photo of the same object. My photo would look mediocre while his photo would be framed perfectly. He would walk me through the many steps to better my photography. And so the journey began. Since then, we have been photographing weddings side by side but my favorite things has always been when we get back to the editing room.
Using Lightroom to add some awesome effects.
Gaji is more of the minimalist. He favors clean lines and minimal editing (which is beautiful). I tend to be drawn to artistic, romantic editing with some mod colors and effects. I love how some “editing POW” makes any picture look so artful! So, to make us both happy, I usually set aside 20 photos from each wedding that I get to play and dress up. I call these my “creative edits” and send them to my brides as a “surprise” included with their batch of photographs. Gaji is a Pro at anything computers. He is a talent with Photoshop, graphic design and fixing computers. As a teen, he was part of the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Enough said. Yes he is not only handsome, but he is a total geek as well. It does not come as a surprise that he is also very talented at Graphic Design and Photography Editing. He has taught me everything i know about Photography. I have created my own filters which i save and use. Here are some samples of my “Creative Edits”
