Southern Estate Wedding
The photographers: Lotuseyesphotography.com
I’m excited to share these gorgeous photographs from the Wedding of Jennifer and Anthony. I’m always amazed by the wonderful people, and places that we get the opportunity to photograph. I certainly count my blessings every day. Jennifer and Anthony made our day a blast and both are super fun, kind and down to earth. It’s no wonder that they have decided to spend the rest of their lives together!
The wedding took place at Jennifer’s parent’s home which is a beautiful Estate just outside of Orlando. It was an outdoor affair with sparkling white lights hung through every branch and tree. The front and back yard was transformed into a cozy, romantic and beautiful wedding venue (check out our previous post titled “DIY Wedding Ideas for your perfect Wedding” to get some decoration Inspiration for your backyard wedding!
The house is gorgeous to begin with! Thank god the pictures spoke a thousand words because this wedding was indescribably beautiful. The happy couple found each other at a friend’s house right in my neighborhood of Winter Park and they have been best friends and madly in love ever since.
They were a pleasure to photograph! Thank you Jennifer & Anthony.

Adding unexpected personal touches is a fun and unpredictable way to wow your guests and can sometimes save you a fortune. It will add a sentimental value to the externals rather then ordering the standard catalog wedding favors.
The first step of planning any wedding (besides selecting the date and location) is selecting a wedding theme that screams your personality.
This step involves reaching inwards and picking out what you love, the colors, textures and overall mood that represents who you are. Are you a southern Gal? Are you family oriented? Do you like the glam or enjoy the simple things in life? Perhaps you are a nature lover? No one knows you better than you, so select your theme based on the things that suits who you are. Some go for country, some go for black and white, and some go for a mod theme. Some are more traditional, while others are more about entertaining their guests. There are endless possibilities! From the wedding invitations to the chairs, the theme will play a big role in selecting your details.
Picking your color palette
The second step in planning your actual wedding theme should be picking your color palette! I would suggest to purchase some physical copies of wedding magazines and cut out images and colors that draws you in. You probably already have an idea of the colors that you love and want to include in your wedding theme. You can piece it all together easier by having a visual palette available. This helps in making sure that all of the colors looks fine and dandy together. You might surprise yourself with an additional color that just happens to go perfect with your desired color theme.
More couples are going for 3 or more colors now a days instead of two.
DIY is a lot of fun and a good excuse to bond with friends and family.
There are plenty of helpful DIY websites out there that allows you to collect snippets and Ideas on things that you can make yourself. Now this all might sound confusing to you. Where do I even start? Well first of all, I would suggest that you write down a list of things that you will need to order or rent for your wedding day and decide on a realistic budget.
An example would be:
- Table cloths
- Party favors
- flower decorations
and the list goes on. Start selecting things from this list that you think that you can piece together yourself.
The little things like details, ornaments, centerpieces, backdrops etc can really add up in $$$ so this is where DIY comes in handy! Your wedding should feel like your home, a place that represents who you are.

We had the honor of photographing the Gorgeous wedding of Sharla and Jonathan Kristof this past weekend held at the Mission Inn Resort and Spa The Wedding Ceremony was held at the Mission Inn’s Pavilion at Marina Del Rey on Lake Harris. It was an intimate wedding with close friends and family members. The day was beautiful with clear blue skies and perfect temperature!
Next stop was the newly constructed Lakeview Inn’s rooftop for a fun filled reception with a 360 view. The rooftop was beautifully decorated and the cool breeze ensured that everyone was comfortable as the sun shone brightly before it set.Congratulations to the happy couple!! here are some of their photos!
